I'm A Celeb fans taken aback as David Ginola snaps at Naughty Boy in tense Trial row

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star David Ginola lost his rag when Naughty Boy tried to force him to face critters in a trial.

The ex-Tottenham and Newcastle United player, 54, threw a strop after the music producer, 40, said he wanted to see him squirm after watching him face his first challenge.

It came in an emotional episode last night where some, but not all, of the campmates got letters from their loved ones back home after a trial.

Two stars were required to face the latest task, and the campmates were tasked with deciding amongst themselves who would be facing the Trial, with former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin telling her pals: “I would like to do the Trial – she says with trepidation – because I’ve not done one.

“I think if I leave the Castle and I’ve not done a Trial I don’t feel I’ve been on Celebrity, so that’s the reason.”

EastEnders icon Adam Woodyatt chimed in: “Not bothered”, while Coronation Street star Simon Gregson said: “No ta, hell no.”

Naughty Boy and several of the other campmates then spoke up to recommend David as a good choice – but he refused to be pushed, even as the DJ argued: “You’re not listening. I would like you to try because I was there with you on your first Trial and I know you didn’t enjoy it.”

Eventually, Paralympian Kadeena Cox said: “I’ll do it just to stop the discussion…”

David snapped: “It’s very simple, nobody point at me and say, ‘You should do that.’ I decide for myself, that’s it, simple as that.

“I am still David Ginola, it’s me, it’s about me, it’s about what I am, and nobody is saying to me what I should do, OK? I think it’s going to be a long week.”

Kadeena, 30, eventually had to endure the Critter-Cal Cages Trial as tempers flared between campmates.

It saw her lying in a cage getting covered in snakes while campmate Louise Minchin, 53, recovered keys from a box full of critters and the pair win 10 stars.

Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, 30, wept in another challenge after he failed to win David a letter from his loved ones.

Each of the celebs was tasked with remembering a WiFi code with two numbers, two letters and two special characters to enter into a computer.

Speaking about the experience, Danny said: “I’m just gutted.”

David said to the actor: “Look at me in my eyes. I don’t need to read a letter to know that my girlfriend loves me, OK?

“Listen. It’s fine. I promise you. It’s absolutely fine. I don’t want to see you in that state.”

I’m A Celebrity airs nightly on ITV at 9pm.
