As Halloween draws closer, ITV producers have treated fans to another teaser for the upcoming series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! which is due to air next month.
The hit reality show will take place in the grounds of Gwrych Castle in North Wales as it did last year due to the ongoing effects of the global pandemic.
But as the restrictions around Covid-19 have continued to reduce in the UK, fans have shared their hopes for a more action-packed series compared to the 20th anniversary special.
ITV bosses dropped the new trailer on Instagram on Friday afternoon which they captioned: “Looks like two mighty warriors @antanddec are working tirelessly to prepare the trials for this year’s celebrities,” with eyes, a castle and the Welsh flag emojis.
The clip depicts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly dressed as knights in shining armour, complete with chainmail and leather aprons, as they worked “tirelessly to prepare the trials”.
As Dec hammered away, Ant asked: “Ooooh what you making? In fact, don’t tell me, let me guess. A sword? An axe?”
While an annoyed Dec replied: “Something for the trials …”
“An iron stomach?” Ant quipped.
Dec then proudly held up one of the show’s infamous gold stars which celebrities can win if they pass the bushtucker trials.
As he threw the star on top of the building pile on the floor, Dec added: “Anyway, these stars aren’t gonna make themselves so quit yammering and start hammering!”
The 30-second clip then reminded avid fans that the beloved series will return to ITV in November, but failed to give an exact date.
And it’s fair to say fans were more excited than ever for the return of I’m A Celeb, as they flooded the video with comments online.
One user penned: “Whoop Whoop … I’m A Celeb 2021 getting ever closer peeps,” as another added: “Can’t wait for the new series of I’m A Celeb will be watching it.”
A third chimed in with: “Okay – the jungle is iconic but love the castle, gives me Merlin and magic vibes.”
One gold star earned during the challenges equals one meal for camp, and if someone refuses to take part in the stomach-churning trial then the whole camp will be eating only rice and beans.
