Charlotte Crosby was reduced to tears when she was informed she would have to spend New Year’s Eve alone after she tested positive for Covid.
The 31-year-old took to social media on Friday afternoon when she told her loyal legion of fans how her plans for the global celebrations were ruined after her lateral flow test came back positive.
She shared a snap of the positive test on Instagram as she curled up on the sofa as she took care of herself while she struggled with the symptoms of the infection virus.
On top of the picture, the former Geordie Shore star penned: “The inevitable has happened. NYE at home with a Lemsip for me! My dry January has started early!”
While she watched TV in bed, Charlotte reflected over some of the lovely memories she made over the last 12 months including some with her Geordie Shore co-stars.
As she reflected, she shared a series of snaps online and added: “I know I’m not doing anything for NYE tonight – but honestly these memories are so much better than any NYE I could have had.”
It comes after the reality TV star started dating celebrity driver Jake Ankers following her breakup with Liam Beaumont earlier this year.
Charlotte has reportedly moved into his flat in Manchester as she continues to renovate her own home in the North East.
It is thought they live in the heart of the city which is a popular apartment block with professional footballers and former Love Island contestants, according to The Sun.
A source close to the TV star told the publication that she still has her “mansion in Sunderland” but has been staying with Jake while her home is under construction.
The said: “Jake’s letting her do what she wants with the place. They are really smitten with each other and enjoying setting up home together.”
The swanky apartment block boasts an underground car park and swimming pool in addition to the breath-taking views of the city.
