Former EastEnders star Melissa Suffield has impressed fans by stripping off for a body confident video with an important message.
The 28-year-old actress, who played Lucy Beale in the BBC One soap from 2004 until 2010, become a mum to her son River and has since been documenting her life online in view of her thousands of fans.
She regularly shares inspirational quotes with her fans and her latest post has been backed by supports for its empowering message.
Melissa’s latest social media display features a video in which she’s seen in a striped t-shirt and jeans, before stripping to reveal a bra underneath.
She then removes this to show another bra and then goes on to show off a series of colourful bras until she’s topless, covering her breasts with her hands.
The soap star can be seen smiling at the camera throughout the reveals.
Melissa’s video is accompanied by the song She’s A Rainbow by the Rolling Stones.
Alongside the clip, the media personality encouraged her followers to embrace themselves, writing in the caption: “She’s like a rainbow. Never let your rainbow go dull for ANYONE.”
She added in the post: “No matter what anyone says, does, how they make you feel – shine bright, take up room, because you are here, you matter, and you are loved.”
The post has unsurprisingly been inundated with comments from her fans.
One fan gushed: “You are incredible!!”
Another added: “Very positive vibes.”
A third person posted: “I’m so glad there are inspirational people like you around especially on social media.”
While a fourth social media star said: “Go you, showing us women how to be comfortable and confident within ourselves. Still waiting for my confidence to show up.”
Melissa appeared as the character Lucy on EastEnders until Hetti Bywater took over the role, portraying the character until her death in 2015.
Lucy was brutally murdered by her brother Bobby Beale in a huge whodunnit storyline.
Since leaving the soap, Melissa has taken part in a documentary called 16: Too Young To Vote? as part of BBC Three’s Adult Season, where she journeys around the United Kingdom to find out whether sixteen year olds should get the right to vote.
In September 2009, she reported for the programme on BBCmWatchdog, on the dangers of sunbeds.
The star has also appeared in a celebrity version of Total Wipeout and acted in Casualty.
