Jermaine Jenas has slammed The One Show, branding the TV studio “baltic” with many celebrity guests choosing to wrap up warm ahead of their appearance on the BBC One show.
During Tuesday’s (May 3) instalment of the popular teatime chat show, the TV presenter was joined by guest co-star Lauren Laverne as they welcomed Harry Potter star Tom Felton and Doctor Who companion Mandip Gill onto the show.
As the group discussed the various projects the actors were working on, one eagle-eyed viewer couldn’t help but notice that the celebrities were wrapped up warm during the show.
Throughout the show, the Draco Malfoy star was seen wrapped up warm in a wooly coat alongside the sci-fi actor was seen wearing a T-shirt layered over a long-sleeved shirt.
And it was clear to see the point wasn’t lost on the BBC producers as the 39-year-old addressed the query at the end of the show.
As he wrapped up the show, the TV host had time for one question from the viewers at home.
He said: “We’ve had a message in from Mark who’s written in to ask: ‘Is the studio cold? Because last night Boy George had a thick coat on, and tonight Tom’s got a thick coat on as well.’
“Well, I can confirm as Alex Jones will always tell you it’s absolutely freezing in here.”
It was at this point that the blonde bombshell reaffirmed it was “baltic” in the studio as Jermaine added: “She’ll be happy you said that.”
It comes after the show’s loyal legion of fans flooded to Twitter throughout Monday (May 2) night’s show where Boy George joined the show.
The Culture Club front man donned a large wooly coat as he shared the latest projects he has been working on over the last few months with viewers at home.
He paired the warm ensemble with a large oversized yellow hat which was decorated with smiley faces all over it.
Towards the end of the show, the singer was receiving floods of messages from fans to take off his large coat while talking to the hosts on the show.
One user penned: “Why the big coat #boygeorge? #TheOneShow.”
Another suggested: “Take the coat off George! You won’t feel the benefit. #TheOneShow.”
A third cheekily quipped: “Judging by the amount of hats and coats being worn, the BBC have already turned the heating off in #TheOneShow studio.”
“#TheOneShow obviously trying to save on their fuel bill – poor guys having to sit there in coat, boots and scarf.”
