ITV Lorraine viewers have been given an exclusive look at the new season of Netflix series The Crown.
The first look was shown on Monday (October 31) on Lorraine with the clip beginning with a voiceover from Queen Elizabeth, played in series five by Imelda Staunton.

Opening in a chilling new clip, viewers hear: “The anniversary, of an occasion, is a time to reflect,” mixed with flashes of shots from the new season.
The Queen’s voiceover continues as viewers get a glimpse at Imelda’s interpretation of the late royal.
As the trailer came to a close, Lorraine gushed: “She’s going to be fantastic,” while Russell Meyers, Royal Editor at The Mirror, who joined Lorraine to showcase the clip, agreed.
“Prince [is] probably not going to come out of this particularly well,” commented Lorraine.
Again, Russell agreed and said that it was “unfortunate”.
“I think it’s unfortunate because there is a groundswell of public support for the royals at the moment, and certainly with him starting off his new legacy. But let’s wait and see because I can’t wait to watch it.”
Lorraine added: “Well, that’s the thing, we’re all going to be watching it, because it’s so so beautifully done.”
Before the clip, Lorraine said that she thought it was beautifully done, but was also quick to point out that “It’s not a documentary.”
Russell explained that he believed the new series would be “the most controversial yet”.
Fans have flocked to Twitter to gush over the new trailer, with one person writing: “The trailer for #TheCrown is sensational.”
While another said: “Omg can’t wait for The Crown season five. The trailer looks so good.”
A third wrote: “Omg have ya’ll seen the trailer for the new season of #TheCrown? It’s gonna be lit!!!”
The Netflix series has come under fire already for the upcoming scenes surrounding Diana and now-King Charles.
It is expected that multiple controversial moments for the Royal Family – particularly surrounding Diana – will be aired, much to the family’s dismay.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
