Hollywood star Blake Lively shocked a Wrexham fan when she playfully told his girlfriend to ‘dump him’ as she visited the Ryan Reynolds-owned club.
The Gossip Girl icon was delighting visitors at the Racecourse Ground on Sunday with a impromptu walk around as the Wrexham Women’s team broke a Welsh record with 9.500 fans packing the stadium.
And as she signed programmes and talked to the crowd one fan asked her to say ‘hi’ to his girlfriend.
After obliging the request, Lively proved yet again that she’s every bit as mischievous as husband Ryan by quickly following it up with an off-the-cuff recommendation to his girlfriend that she ‘leave him’.

Lively’s husband Reynolds famously co-owns the Welsh football team with celebrity pal Rob McElhenney. Lively is a welcome fixture at the Racecourse Ground and her company Betty Buzz even sponsor the women’s side – who claimed the title that day with a 2-1 win.
Much like her husband, Lively is celebrated for her wicked sense of humour and it was never more evident that in this display which has been viewed tens of thousands of times.
As Lively was meeting and and greeting fans WSam called to her from near the front of the stands clutching his phone.
“Blake, can you say hi to Steph please – my girlfriend?” he said.
“Hi Stephanie!” Lively obliged politely, waving at the screen, before suddenly adding: “You should leave him!”
She then gasped and laughed at her own cheekiness as onlookers joined in, while the obviously delighted Sam feigned despair at his imminent break-up.
Posting the clip to Twitter he said his girlfriend was “absolutely over the moon” at the dedication and, luckily, hadn’t taken the star’s advice.
In the comments he said he had run across from the other side of the stadium to make the request, adding it was “totally worth it.”
And there was certainly no ill feelings towards the Hollywood icon’s presence at the club from the poster, who said: “They (and Rob) are unbelievable amazing. The difference it’s made to the town is unbelievable. Forever grateful.”
Lively’s meet-and-greets with Dragons supporters is just one of the many highlights that Reynolds and McElhenney’s takeover has brought to the club.
The pair have transformed the side since taking charge two years ago, with the hugely successful Welcome to Wrexham documentary series introducing the club to international audiences.
