Shaun Ryder has admitted his teenage kids are a chip off the old block as they are going through an “experimental” stage.
But the ex-heroin addict Happy Mondays star, 60, does not “condone” their wild ways and has even banned booze from his house.
When asked how he approaches the “drugs chat” with his kids, Shaun – who beat his smack habit by cycling – said: “My two youngest are 14 and 15 so they’re going through that stage of experimenting.

“I’m not gonna condone it, but I certainly understand.”
Along with the four kids he has from other relationships, Shaun has girls Pearl and Lulu with his wife Joanne.
The Pills ‘n’ Thrills and Bellyaches hitmaker added: “We just have to educate them, really.
“We don’t smoke in the house, we don’t have alcohol in the house.
“But the best thing is to just leave it to their mother.”
Shaun has been open about his drugs use in his heyday and how he is now riddled with health woes.
But he said: “I’ve finally worked out that life is a lot easier without being off your t**s.”
It comes after the Celebrity Gogglebox star admitted he’s paranoid about getting assassinated by Vladimir Putin after writing savage song lyrics mocking the Russian President.
The Happy Mondays frontman wrote lyrics mocking Putin in tunes for his new group, Mantra Of The Cosmos.

Shaun said at the time that even though he started off wanting to “put the boot into Putin” with his new releases, he toned down the words after he started to get scared they could make him a target for assassination.
He added: “It started off worst than that, but we thought, ‘Let’s give this band a chance before we all get poisoned.’”
Shaun’s fears come after the 2018 Salisbury Novichok poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia – and amid warnings Putin is on the verge of launching a nuclear attack.
