I’m A Celeb’s Nicola McLean revealed the water was so foul that they collected from the stream – campmates stole from the crew.
Nicola starred on the show in 2008 alongside Joe Swash and revealed he broke a major show rule. Joe ended up stealing bottles of water from the crew so that campmates didn’t have to drink the “disgusting” stream water.
She told us: “Joe Swash stole loads of water bottles off camera and we were pouring it in our water bottles so that we could have fresh water. We usually had to drink the stream water boiled it’s f***ing disgusting.

“It’s really bad and it just takes tastes of smoke where it’s been on the fire. He took them back to the bus that he was co-sleeping in, it was a double-decker bus.

“Producers saw it but didn’t say anything so I can’t remember if he got it taken off of him or whether they just probably just left it because they wanted to win to be perfectly honest with you. So, I think they let him get away with it.”
Nicola also spotted a sign that ITV contracts could’ve changed this year after a lack of female shower scenes. She added: “We literally have not seen any of them on the show. They must have showered so maybe it’s in everyone’s contract that you don’t film them in the shower now then?

“We need to get a campaign started to bring back the shower scenes. Listen, I can understand if they don’t want to because everything’s gone so that way, that they don’t want to sexualize women as much as they did before.
“But then it should be equal, but instead, it’s not, as we are still seeing the men. It’s really odd like, it must be like a conscious decision by ITV but why I don’t know why, but unfortunately we saw plenty of Nigel Farage.”

At the beginning of the series, Nicola predicted that EastEnders star Danielle Harold would “smash” the show’s shower scenes. Nicola said: “I reckon Danielle will be the one who will look the best this year – yeah, she’s definitely got the in the bag. She will definitely be this series’ bikini babe and she will certainly smash the shower scenes for sure.”
