Creator Danny explained: “I continue to be blown away by the success of this play. It demonstrates a huge appetite and curiosity for all things paranormal. This fabulous seventh cast for the 2024 leg of the tour will bring their own energy to these characters, telling the story anew for audiences across the UK. It’s always exciting to see the play come to life again in this way. It’s such a fun night out, and if chills give you thrills you’re in for a treat.”

The announcement comes after Fiona discussed her exit from Emmerdale. The actress said she struggled with the decision to leave after reports emerged in October last year that she would leave her role after first joining the show in 2011. Describing it as “one of the hardest decisions” she has ever made, Fiona told Digtial Spy at the time: “Leaving my Emmerdale family is a big thing and it wasn’t easy filming my last scenes. When you’ve been somewhere for that long and that’s your every day, it’s hard and feels sad. But as every actor knows, you need to challenge yourself and that’s very important too.

Plus, the friends you make and the experiences you have are invaluable.”
