Love Island fans accuse Samie of 'stealing Lana's line' during emotional final speech

Love Island fans have accused Samie of “stealing Lana’s line” as she got emotional reading her final speech in front of Tom.

The second winter series finishes tonight, with either Kai and Sanam, Shaq and Tanya, Ron and Lana or Tom and Samie being crowned this year’s champions.

In typical Love Island fashion, the islanders slipped into their best attire for their last night in the villa as they made their final declarations to each other.

During her heartfelt speech, Samie told Tom: “We’ve completed chapter one. Bring on chapter two.”

But the comment seemed to rattle fans who headed straight to social media to accuse her of stealing the line from Lana, who had said the same words previously.

“Not Samie taking Lana’s chapter line…,” fumed one user as another added: “Love how Samie stolen lana’s chapter 1 line”.

“SAMMIE COPIED LANA’S CHAPTER LINE BYE,” wrote someone else.

Echoing this, a fourth shared: “Did Sammie just steal a line for her declaration from Lana loooooool! #Loveisland.”

“Poor Lana had her line stolen,” commented another viewer.

While someone else penned: “Samie took Lana’s line!!!”

The final of series nine kicked off tonight and it was Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga who landed in fourth place.

The 22-year-old influencer and 24-year-old airport security officer have been together since their first day in the villa and are leaving South Africa as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Finishing in third place was Tom and Samie, who declared their love for each other for the first time while reading their speeches.

Ron and Lana ended up in second place, behind winners Kai and Sanam.

Kai and Sanam, both 24, have now made Love Island history, becoming the first duo who met in Casa Amor to go on and win the show as well as the first couple of mixed heritage to win.
