Piers Morgan is accusing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of “rank hypocrisy” for accepting royal titles on behalf of their children.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 57, said that the couple want to have their “royalist cake and eat it” because they declared it is their children Archie and Lilibet’s birthright to have royal titles.
Morgan mused on his TalkTV show how Harry and Meghan cannot criticize the royal institution and claim living as a member of the British Royal Family is like “living in a prison” if they allow their offspring to take part in traditions they have slammed.

“They kept telling the world how bad the Royal Family is – it’s a prison camp, and all the royals want to get away from it – but now they want to give their kids titles?” Morgan questioned when chatting with his guests.
He continued: “They don’t live anywhere near the Royal Family, they don’t do any duties and they live in a mansion in California.”
Morgan added: “It’s rank hypocrisy yet again from these two!”
This comes after the news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter was christened Princess Lilibet Diana earlier this month.
Many have wondered why the couple is happy for their two children to have royal titles after their decision to quit life as working royals in 2020, along with their subsequent bombshell Netflix documentary and Harry’s tell-all memoir.
Morgan wasn’t the only one to rant about Harry and Meghan on TalkTV that evening. Jeremy Kyle, who hosted the show before Morgan, also accused the couple of being “dodgy” when it comes to releasing statements.
Harry and Meghan’s popularity in the US have recently taken an even bigger nosedive.
The animated sitcom South Park gave the first big blow to their stateside brand a couple of weeks ago with an episode featuring a couple bearing an uncanny similarity to the Sussexes.
In the episode, titled The Worldwide Privacy Tour, the pair travel the globe with placards saying: “Stop looking at us!” and chanting: “We want privacy!”
Harry’s memoir, Spare, is parodied as “Waaaagh”. The couple also get advice from a PR expert who tells them to portray themselves as victims.
