Milkshake hitmaker Kelis unrecognisable decades after bringing the boys to the yard

Milkshake hitmaker Kelis looks completely unrecognisable twenty years after bringing all the boys to the yard.

The songstress, now 43, released her biggest hit to date in 2003 before going on to land hits with Caught Out There, Trick Me and Bossy.

After releasing her last studio album in 2014, the star now regularly entertains her fans via social media – and she looks totally transformed.

Kelis let her brunette tresses fall in dreads down past her waist as she showed off the outfit, which she paired with dusty pink sneakers.

Posing outside surrounded by greenery, Kelis didn’t skimp when it came to looking glam, either, swiping on a bright red lipstick and framing her eyes with dark liner.

She added a pair of huge hoop earrings and tucked her hands into her pockets for the impromptu modelling shoot.

In the video, she told fans: “This is farm fashion. I’m chilling today, it’s been a super chill day. I’ve got on my… these are actually old, but I love them, these are my high-top Margiela sneakers.

“Then I’m actually really feeling this, this is dope,” she added, gesturing to her fleece. “It has a 60s sort of vibe, it feels really retro, but then it’s an 80s kind of cut.”

The singer confessed: “I just love it!

Kelis’ life looks a lot different nowadays, as she owns her very own farm, where she’s gotten involved in everything from growing crops to lambing.

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar about the move, she confessed: “I came out here with a completely different idea of what was going to happen.

“I thought I was going to be cute. I really thought I was going to have cute farm things, and I was going to be cute. That is not the case.”

Instead, she’s tasked with caring for more than 30 animals – confessing to the publication that rabbits are constantly attacking their produce, the corn failed to grow and birds are constantly swooping onto the property.

But she added that the farm is providing a legacy for her kids, adding: “I want them to have the proper understanding of what wealth is.

“To be able to say: ‘I belong here. I own this. It’s mine.’”
