Strictly star, Spice Girl and Eurovision icon team up for free event to promote inclusivity

A host of entertainment legends are coming together, alongside Smirnoff, Tilting The Lens and Sink The Pink for a free event to promote inclusivity and accessibility in hospitality.

Layton Williams will be taking a short break from Strictly training to host the WE DO US Live launch with comedian Fats Timbo next week. The campaign is set to work alongside various music and nightlife collectives who all share the same values and goals – to bring people together.

On November 29, a special night of social inclusivity will take place in London – and the best thing is, you can grab free tickets. The night promises show-stopping performances, with huge names billed to appear.

That’s not all, as award-winning singer-songwriter Kamille, often referred to as the secret member of Little Mix, will also take to the stage. And to keep the party going, Lou Bru and Drag Race UK queen Jonbers Blonde will also be hitting the decks.

The event’s co-host comedian Fats Timbo, who creates content to challenge society’s perceptions about Disabled people, said: “I am beyond thrilled to be co-hosting such an incredible night with Smirnoff WE DO US Live. We have got such an amazing line-up for what we hope will be a night to remember. It’s so important to have inclusive events like this, where everyone can enjoy themselves and really live life to the full together.”

Smirnoff, known, of course, for its vodka, is on a mission to get social connections going again with its WE DO US campaign. Here in the UK, the focus will be on lowering barriers that people may face in hospitality, particularly looking at accessibility for the Disabled community in pubs, bars and clubs.

The London launch will see Sink The Pink, known for throwing the best parties in town, reform for one night only. And the special night will see various measures to ensure accessibility for as many people as possible.

There will be Quiet Rooms, inclusive furniture, British Sign Language performers and other specially trained staff. So if that sounds like your kind of night, head over to sinkthepink.com/smirnoff to sign up for free tickets.

Sinéad Burke, CEO and Founder of Tilting the Lens, said: “Smirnoff’s commitment to implement measurable changes in accessibility, by working with Disabled people, is a much-needed approach to the live music sector. Viewing accessibility not merely as a measure of compliance, but one of community so Disabled people can be who they are, as they are.”

Glyn Fussell, co-founder of Sink the Pink and Mighty Hoopla, said: “I know what it’s like to feel invisible which is why I will always champion ways to help reposition people’s minds about what can be achieved and created in spaces for people to find their joy and have fun. I am here for every opportunity that removes barriers so that you can be your most fabulous self.

“Large-scale events are needed more than ever, as people look for more collective joy, and we need to make them accessible for everyone, which is why I am delighted to work with Smirnoff for such an important campaign.”
