Will Smith is reportedly feeling “humiliated and betrayed” by wife Jada Pinkett Smith after bombshell revelations she made in her new book.
The Oscar-winner is said to be reeling and “wants a divorce” after Jada confessed they’d been separated for seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship. The pair were initially said to be “working to reconcile”– but now Will is apparently “blindsided” by the revelations.
Speaking to Heat Magazine, one source revealed Will did not give his approval for his wife to discuss their private life in the book, and was feeling “more emasculated than ever”. The source continued: “He knows he needs to be strategic as there’s $400m on the line. But he’s hurt and angry and this is the final straw.”

They added: “He wants to divorce and end the charade.” He reportedly wants a “real relationship” now, and said of Jada “that ship has sailed”.

It comes after Jada revealed in October that she had been separated from Will for six years before the infamous Oscars slap, which saw Will smack comedian Chris Rock across the face after jokes he made aimed at Jada. She revealed: “We’re still figuring it out. We’ve been doing some really heavy duty work together. We just got this deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
The couple admitted in 2020 that Jada had an affair with musician August, with Will saying at the time: “Our marriage wasn’t working. We could no longer pretend. We were both miserable and clearly something had to change.”

The affair apparently happened when Jada and Will secretly split in 2015, with August claiming Will gave him permission to carry out a romance with his wife. Jada told Will: “As time went on I got into a different kind of entanglement with August,” admitting it “was a relationship, absolutely.”
Jada also claimed the pair “haven’t called each other husband and wife in a long time”, despite Will repeatedly yelling: “Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth!” at Chris Rock during the Oscars incident. Jada said it was “ridiculous how far it went” when speaking of the slap.

But she went on: “But I also understood at the same time. Considering the false narrative that I had cheated on Will or I was like some adulteress, Will had never done that before.
“I think that when we just look at human nature… when you look at the breadcrumbs, people need something to blame. And so people not knowing what was happening behind the scenes, I surely wasn’t surprised that I got blamed.”
