Maya Jama has worked her wonders on Love Island as ITV bosses prepare to formally recommission the winter series, according to sources.
Despite this year’s series receiving the lowest ratings for seven years, insiders have revealed TV executives were thoroughly impressed by the 28-year-old presenter.
After wowing viewers at home with her witty comebacks and candid opinions, executives believe she has completely transformed the reality dating series.

Speaking to The Sun, a telly insider has revealed that the raven-haired beauty is here to stay on the hugely popular TV show.
A source told the publication: “Maya has more than proved her worth as a presenter of Love Island and while the ratings for this winter series weren’t the best – she came out on top.
“Love Island have already informed the owners of the £1.2million villa in South Africa that they want to return there at the end of this year ahead of the winter 2024 show.”
“With Maya at the helm for the summer series, ITV think she will only increase its popularity which they think will carry onto the next winter edition.
“Maya was crowned the winner of Love Island when her debut episode aired and ITV think she will only continue to make TV gold for them.”
It comes after the telly sensation is enjoyed a well-deserved break in the heart of New York before preparing for the start of Love Island’s staple summer series.
It’s fair to say drama has been unfolding since she landed back in the UK as fans eagerly follow the fallouts from the winter series while the finalists settle back into life away from the villa.
Last week Casey O’Gorman announced his split from Rosie Seabrook just one week after she show came to a close.

Those close to the 26-year-old recruitment consultant told the news outlet that he was single while enjoying a wild night out on the town with friends in Hertfordshire.
They explained: “Casey said he was not officially in a couple with Rosie and that he was single. It was clear he was ready to go out on the pull and enjoy the attention that comes after being on Love Island.
“There doesn’t appear to be a deep connection between Casey and Rosie and although they were a couple when they were in the villa, being on the outside has made them realise they’re not right for each other.
“Being on Love Island and being in the villa is like a bubble and once the islanders come out of their situations and relationships completely change.”
