My Parents Are Aliens’ Trent Clements star looks practically unrecognisable 16 years since the beloved kid’s series ended

Keith Warwick is best-known for portraying Trent in the hit CITV series, with the 55-year-old looking worlds away from Mel Barker’s boyfriend these days.

The character of Trent appeared in My Parents Are Aliens in series two, with him remaining until the programme came to an end in 2006.

In the series, he was known as Mel’s long-time friend who put up with her mood swings and often hinted that he was romantically interested in her.

After five series of flirting, they finally got together in series six, with series seven revealing that his charming Scottish accent was fake.

But 16 years on from the series coming to an end, Keith, who Trent, looks almost unrecognisable.

Posting a snap of him wearing a flat cap and glasses in 2018, the My Parents Are Aliens star looked world’s away from his punky character in the kid’s TV show.

Although the below snap was taken and posted in 2018, Keith has uploaded more recent snaps of himself on-stage for Celtic The Musical.

Scottish actor Keith was born in 1967 and will turn 56 in May this year, with his Instagram bio stating that he has an MA in Classical & Contemporary Text.

Prior to appearing in My Parents Are Aliens, Keith starred in the BBC drama Knowing The Score in 1986.

As well as acting, Keith is a musician and has toured Japan and Europe with The Kaisers.

More recently he played Malcolm, a malevolent ticket inspector opposite Timothy Spall in Gilles MacKinnon’s The Last Bus in 2020.

He also starred in aforementioned Celtic The Musical which ran until September 2022, and saw Keith take to the stage as part of the Quinn family.

The musical saw the family move through the decades while witnessing the story of Glasgow Celtic football club.

Keith has almost 700 followers on Instagram and more than 1,500 on Twitter.

Fans often tweet Keith on Twitter to ask him if he was the person who played Trent, or to share a snap of them watching an old episode that featured Trent.

And in 2020 Keith shared a throwback snap of him resembling on Instagram, leaving fans swooning over the nostalgic offering.
