Ant McPartlin baby with Anne-Marie is ‘stuff of dreams’ as he ‘always wanted kids’

Ant McPartlin is said to be “absolutely delighted” about his baby news as he has “always wanted kids.”

It was reported this week that the Geordie legend, 48, is set to become a dad for the first time. It is understood that he and wife Anne-Marie Corbett, who he wed in 2021, are due to welcome their first baby in June.

And apparently, it was the “news everyone wanted” as Ant has reportedly longed to have children of his own; he is already a stepfather to two of Anne-Marie’s children.

A source told The Sun: “It’s no secret that Ant has always wanted children. But that it may never happen for him was something he had, sadly, come to terms with.

“When they found out last year, they were absolutely delighted, but obviously kept the news quiet for as long as possible.” The windier also added: “To be having a child two years short of his 50th birthday, with the love of his life, is the stuff of dreams for Ant.”

Ant and Anne-Marie got married three years ago at St Michael’s Church in Heckfield, Hampshire. Dec was best man at the star-studded ceremony, which was attended by TV stars like Stephen Mulhern and axed presenter Phillip Scofield.

The pair first became a couple back in 2018 after the presenter split from ex wife Lisa Armstrong. Anne-Marie used to work as a personal assistant for Lisa, who is now head of make-up for Strictly Come Dancing. Ant and Anne-Marie now live in South West London with her two teenage daughters and their two Maltipoo dogs, Milo and Bumble.

The Geordie star previously admitted how he and Lisa had been trying for kids when they were together. He once noted how timing often stood in the way when it came to having kids with his now-ex.

“We’ve wanted children for a while, but we’re both busy. We’re on a break now, the first proper one for 15 years,” he said at the time. So Lisa and I are trying for a baby… well, we’ve been trying for a little while so fingers crossed.”
