BBC Breakfast Naga Munchetty’s brutal four-word response to co-star after time mishap

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty shut down her co-star Carol Kirkwood.

Naga hosted the show with Charlie Stayt on Thursday (March 14) and was clearly feeling mischievous as she decided to mock weather presenter Carol. As fans know, the pair enjoy having some banter in-between their segments.

Carol had just finished one of her forecasts when she admitted she kept forgetting what day it was. She said: “Naga and Charlie, I don’t know about you, I keep thinking it’s Wednesday today, not Thursday.”

But Naga wouldn’t let her off that easy and insisted it was only Carol getting her days mixed up. Assuming a jokingly stern tone, she replied: “No, it’s just you.”

Naga mocked Carol because the weather star revealed she forgot which day it was

After a long pause, Carol burst out laughing and confessed: “It probably is!”, and Naga immediately started giggling. Charlie asked: “Why do you think it’s Wednesday, Carol?”

Carol replied: “I don’t know, Charlie. I woke up this morning thinking it’s Wednesday and I still have this in my brain that it’s Wednesday. But it’s not, it’s Thursday.”

Carol admitted she kept thinking it was Wednesday

Naga wasn’t finished making fun of her pal as she went on: “What I suggest is you keep thinking it’s Wednesday and then come in tomorrow and imagine it’s Thursday. So we’ll see you tomorrow, Carol, as well…”

Carol sarcastically agreed: “Sounds like a good idea, Naga. Thank you.”

Wednesday’s show say Jon Kay savagely mock Morning Live host Gethin Jones’ striped outfit. Gethin was wearing a black quarter-zip sweatshirt with white stripes across his chest.

Naga and Carol burst out laughing

Jon reckoned his BBC colleague looked like a “pedestrian crossing” and wasn’t afraid to mock his co-star by pointing it out. Jon cheekily said: “It’s like a pedestrian crossing, isn’t it? Live from BBC One at 9.30. Morning Live.”

Gethin and Kym took the outfit dig well as they burst out laughing, and Sally looked shocked as she looked around the studio nervously. “I hope they speak to us after this,” she said, adding: “Good job they’ve gone. They can’t hear us now, for sure…”
