Susan Boyle looked almost unrecognisable as she made her first public appearance at an event in months.
Boyle, 63, showed off her new look as she walked down the red carpet of the Pride of Scotland Awards on Tuesday evening (May 21). This is the first time that the singer, who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, has stepped out onto a carpet event in a long time.
The easy-listening icon posed for photographers grinning from ear to ear as she donned a beautiful pale pink floor-length gown. The frock was accessorised to hell and back, with feather sleeves giving a classy feel to her ensemble.

To finish off the look, Susan wore a slew of silver accessories including bracelets and a ring to complete the outfit. Boyle’s hair was also a focus, as she showed off a tight-fit bob, which perfectly complemented her bright and glowing makeup look.
Susan was the star of the carpet and she ambled her way down the carpet for photographers. She was specially invited to the event, which – much like the Pride of Britain Awards – sees unsung heroes across Scotland get the recognition they deserve.
Giving her thoughts to the Daily Record, Susan admitted she was thrilled to be back out in the public eye for a good cause. “I feel so honoured to be here,” she said gleefully.
“This is an incredible evening celebrating extraordinary people who deserve special recognition,” Boyle added. “Anyone going above and beyond should be applauded.”
Among the other famous faces that attended the awards ceremony was Love Island icon Laura Anderson. The mum-of-one shone for the press as she wore a striking red strapless dress with a cut out in her midriff.
The 35-year-old kept it monochrome, with red being her feature colour during the event – as she showed off a glamorous pair of red heels while walking down the carpet. Anderson, who appeared in the 2018 edition of the show, also showed off her new hairstyle, as she ditched her previous beach blonde look for a classy fringe that highlighted her natural colour.
However, Laura was not the only Love Island star in attendance, as 2020 winner Paige Turley also strutted her stuff down the red carpet. Paige let it all hang out, as she wore a striking black dress with her midriff and décolletage all on show, all while wearing a beautiful floor-length maxi skirt.
Speaking on the event, Anderson joked: “Scots know how to throw a party and this is one of the biggest and the best. I feel privileged to be part of it and don’t want the night to end.”
Other famous faces to walk down the carpet of the event included Love Island: All Stars legend Anton Danyluk. He was joined at the event by his darling mum Sherrie Ann, as they appeared suited and booted for the celebrations taking place that night.
