Coronation Street bad guy Rowan Cunliffe could be set to end up six feet under, according to fans.
Creepy mentor Rowan (Emhrys Cooper) rocked up to Weathefield earlier this year. He ended up luring Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) to the mysterious “self-improvement group” The Institute causing her to push away from her family.
Fiance Nick Tilsley and sister Toyah Habeeb have all shared their concerns over Leanne – who ended up getting whisked away for a week to the institute. She has since made her return to the cobbles – but things have taken a more dramatic turn.

As fans will recall Toyah’s baby secret was revealed this year – with the soap legend confessing to burying her baby in 2001. Toyah confided in Leanne who ended up telling Rowan.
Last week, Toyah was arrested when the police discovered the baby, Rose’s remains. She was ultimately released, but it was pretty clear who made the phone call to the cops to tip them off.
What’s more, this week, the funeral of Toyah’s baby took place – with Leanne claiming she was using her savings to pay for it. But Rowan ended up inviting himself much to the shock and disgust of Toyah.

Outside the undertakers, George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) placed Rose’s coffin in the hearse. Having spotted Rowan watching from Victoria Garden, a furious Toyah raced over and, giving him a shove, ordered him to stay away as he wasn’t welcome.
With the funeral over, Leanne admitted that she didn’t have any savings and Rowan paid for the funeral. After a showdown with Nick, Leanne headed off in tears. Toyah later confronted Rowan and told him that she’s going to do everything she can to expose him for the vile man he really is.

Things took a more dramatic turn, when cult leader Rowan then threatened to blackmail Toyah and Nick – with scandalous photos of the pair kissing. As fans will recall, Toyah and Nick kissed last week, and ended up bonking in shocking scenes.
Now, following Rowan’s blackmail and his reign of terror, viewers are certain Rowan will get what’s coming to him. But in what would be a huge twist, fans reckon it could be Leanne that kills him off – not Toyah.

On a Facebook fan page, one person wrote in a comment: “I really think Rowan’s going to get murdered – probably be the next whodunnit.” Someone else added: “He’s defo getting killed soon? I don’t see who else it will end.”
Sharing their thoughts on who could be the killer, a third fan wrote: “Hoping Leanne realises the truth and snaps and kills him.” A fourth wrote: “That would be good, then this storyline can come to an end.” Another penned: “My money’s still on Toyah.”
