Demi Lovato is grappling with a devastating family loss.
The celebrity’s sister, Madison De La Garza, revealed on Instagram that her newborn daughter, Xiomara, tragically passed away last month following an emergency C-section.
In a heartfelt tribute to her “most perfect angel in heaven”, Madison, 22, wrote: “On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency C-section, Ryan and I held our little girl for the first and last time. Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you sweet girl.”
Demi, aged 32, responded to her sister’s post, writing: “I love you so much, Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I’ll be your auntie forever.”
She then took to her Instagram stories, sharing: “RIP to my beautiful, perfect niece Xiomara. I’m so grateful I got to hold you. I’ll forever be your auntie.”
She tagged Madison, writing, “I love you so much”.
Dallas, 36, another sister of Madison and Demi, also honoured Xiomara, writing: “Baby girl Xiomara, I miss you everyday. I’ll take good care of your mom, so you can fly away. Watch over us and guide us and give us little signs. One day we’ll come and see you, it just might take some time.”
Madison, known for her role as Juanita Solis on Desperate Housewives during her childhood, had announced her pregnancy at the start of September, informing fans that her baby was due in October.
“Oh Ryan, how I love you,” she penned on a heartwarming Sept. 5 Instagram post, which included snaps of the duo cosying up together with Madison’s burgeoning baby bump on full display.
The star gushed further: “Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. Baby Mitchell 10.24.”
To this, Ryan reciprocated with “I love you,” leading to his girlfriend’s affectionate reply, “My everything.”
The pregnant celeb also shared joyous moments from a family celebration, featuring her mum, Dianna De La Garza, and siblings Dallas and Demi, who couldn’t hold back her enthusiasm in the comments, writing: “I love you and this baby so much already! !.”
Previously, at the premiere of her Hulu documentary ‘Child Star’, Demi expressed immense excitement about becoming an auntie in a conversation with E!
News, highlighting that for her, it’s all about kinship. She revealed: “I’m really excited to have new life come into our family. Family is very valued to me. I value family and friends over success any day..”
