One iconic soap star appeared in sex scenes so rampant she fractured her toe – while filming a steamy affair.
Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira Dingle in ITV soap Emmerdale, was busy getting raunchy during romp scenes with her co-star Jurell Carter. Moira and Jurell’s character Nate Robinson embarked on a torrid affair before it was revealed Nate was actually Cain’s son, and doing it to get back at his long-lost dad.
During an appearance on Lorraine in 2019, Natalie confessed that filming sex scenes in a motorhome wasn’t easy, especially with Jurell being more than six feet tall in the cramped space. Natalie said: “I actually fractured my little pinky toe, in the caravan doing a love scene.

“It was all the somersaults. I soldiered on, yeah.” Jurell, meanwhile, exposed some more behind-the-scenes action, adding: “The caravan is so small as well, ‘cause I’m literally six foot three. The caravan’s tiny, we’ve had to do loads of intimate scenes in there.”
Natalie opened up further on the scenes during an interview with The Sunday Post, confessing: “I broke my toe doing a love scene with Jurell Carter in a caravan! You couldn’t swing a cat in there, never mind a 6ft3 Adonis. I just moved my foot up and I stubbed it.
“It hurt so much I couldn’t speak and my eyes were watering. Then it turned black and I had to go to hospital. It was fractured.” At the same time, the soap siren said she doesn’t consider herself a “sex symbol”.
Natalie said: “I certainly don’t see myself as a sex symbol… I’d need longer legs for a start! But it’s flattering. When you’re in your 40s, I think that’s when a lot of people feel really sexy because they know what they want.
“This age is when you flourish. You have a greater sense of who you are. You’re more grounded. That means you can be pickier and suffer no fools… in theory.”
Moira has also dropped some pretty shocking sex bombshells about her real life, after embarking on a short-lived romance with her ITV co-star Jonny McPherson, who plays Dr Liam Cavanagh. She revealed that despite a few “wobbles”, they had a particularly fun way of making up.

She said: “We’ve had a few wobbles, I’m not going to lie… but the making up was fantastic. We’re very compatible, but he does leave lids off everything and doors open. He just leaves doors open, that’s about it.
“[In lockdown] we kind of gave each other space, we did our daily exercise. I’ve got a dog, which he’s very fond of, so we took turns doing that. Luckily it’s worked.” Sadly the pair decided to call it quits in 2021.
