Gladiators star Diamond has opened up candidly on her physique, giving fans some secrets on how to get her look.
Diamond, whose real name is Livi Sheldon, admitted that throughout her lifetime, she has been subject to horrific abuse from people due to her tall height. However, standing strong at a huge 6ft, the bodybuilder has now said she loves her figure and does what she can to keep her dream look a reality.
The 29-year-old spoke to MailOnline on her experience of becoming a bodybuilder, where she admitted that she sees the word ‘skinny’ as a dirty word. She also gave some tips on keeping herself lean, including wearing a 10kg weighted vest when she is out walking her dog.

Speaking to the newspaper, the athlete described herself as “lanky” in her younger years, but after discovering football at the age of six, she was able to focus herself on her career and her fitness journey. She was able to build up her strength over the years and now wants to use her platform to tell others to tear down stereotypes about women’s bodies.
Diamond admitted that she does not pay any attention to any hate she receives online after she first came into the public eye during the BBC reboot of the iconic endurance test. Instead, she explained that she wants to serve as a role model for young girls to be proud in being more powerful.
She told the publication that she had focused on building muscles but it “wasn’t easy”, adding that her hard work would now prompt her to take being called “skinny” as an insult.
Sheldon also said that during her time in school, she was subjected to horrific bullying and now she is using the hate that she received as motivation to be the woman she wants to be. She also said that by being “resilient”, she has used the pain she felt as a child to help her in her bodybuilding competitions.
Opening up about preparing for the BBC reboot of the show, Diamond admitted that she was determined to in and was willing to do anything to make sure she came out on top. She created a fitness programme and brought in a tough diet that got her in prime shape in time for the show.
Diamond also said that she would train her muscles twice a day with an intense regime ranging from cardio sessions, CrossFit and weightlifting. “Before the Gladiators I would track my food so I was hitting a certain amount of calories, I was probably eating around 200grams of protein a day because I was doing a lot of energy expenditure to maintain my muscle mass,” Diamond recalled.
“I was training twice a day, I would do cardio in the morning and weight training later on. Monday for example, I would do high intensity training and then a body building session. I was going to CrossFit and doing their gymnastic sessions and I would do cardio sessions wearing a 10kg weighted vests and I would walk my dog wearing that too.”
The TV star is now busy with her schedule on Gladiators – and she’s worked incredibly hard for her strong bod.
