Stephen began performing as a youngster when he used to go on family holidays to Butlins in Somerset. He then became the youngest member of The Magic Circle, which led him to an appearance on Blue Peter.

Stephen loved magic and in the late 90s, he was invited to take part in the Royal Variety Performance at the Victoria Palace Theatre. Not long after, Stephen landed roles on children’s television.

The TV legend was presented on the Disney Channel and then on CITV alongside Holly Willoughby on Saturday Showdown. On CITV, Stephen was the face of The Quick Trick Show and more recently Tricky TV.

Stephen’s other credits include Britain’s Got More Talent, Coronation Street Uncovered: Live, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Rolling In It, In For A Penny, and many more. He also currently hosts his own radio show on Virgin Radio UK.

According to reports from Entertainment Daily, Stephen currently has an impressive net worth that equates to almost £7 million. However, Stephen has often joked that he’s managed to get jobs that Ant and Dec didn’t which helped him reach the success he has today.

It was reported that in 2022, Stephen made a whopping £2,000 a day. Additionally, his show In For A Penny host, 46, raked in an impressive £800,000 in the same year.

Reports also claim that the TV magician has become one of ITV’s richest stars as his assets rose from £4.1million to £4.91million in a year ending February 2022. This was also helped by Ant and Dec allowing him to host

Stephen said at the time: “We’re really, really good mates. But there’s not many presenters that would be so welcoming for that to happen, because it’s a big gig.”

The Sun reported in 2021 that the portfolio has six homes on its books, including luxury-style properties. According to reports, the portfolio is worth £2.2 million, with homes in Essex and Leicester as well as South West London.

Land Registry commercial ownership files show that Stephen’s firm bought two South West London apartments. One of the homes which was in 2015 was bought for £753,000 and another in 2020 for £640,000.
