ITV This Morning fans beg Cat Deeley to ‘stop’ habit that’s making some turn off This Morning

ITV This Morning fans are asking new host Cat Deeley to change her ways as some threaten to stop watching.

The show welcomed Cat Deeley as a new face this week, and she’s been getting mixed reviews from viewers. Cat, who is 47 years old, and her co-host Ben Shephard, who is 49, have taken over for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV’s This Morning. They started hosting together on Monday.

While Cat and Ben have been praised for their first time hosting together, not everyone likes how Cat is doing things. Some people watching the show say they’re annoyed because Cat keeps “interrupting” and “talking over” the guests.

This was noticed a lot on Tuesday’s episode when Cat and Ben were talking to MasterChef judge John Torode. He came on the show to teach us how to make a curry, but some people couldn’t focus because of Cat.

People moaned on X, which used to be Twitter, about Cat “talking all the time”. Someone said: “Too much talking and interruption is already making this curry recipe too complicated to follow. Cat, stop talking all the time! All the time. Just let somebody else speak.”, reports the Mirror.

One person wasn’t happy, tweeting: “I’ve turned it off as Cat’s annoying me she won’t let anyone else speak.” Another viewer posted: “Is this the Cat Deeley show? She never stops making a noise.”

Someone else complained online: “The show is called This Morning. NOT the Ben Shepherd Show or the Cat Deeley Show. STOP talking over each other and stop interrupting the guests. OMG what a noise! “.

Another viewer said: “Cat Deeley needs to listen more instead of talking all the time. John Torode was trying to explain a recipe, but she kept interrupting. [I] much prefer Ben Shepherd. I may have to turn off This Morning now she is on there all the time. She is too over the top.”

During Thursday’s episode, Ben teased Cat that she should “stop talking” and “listen” while Claire Richards was doing a fashion bit. Cat said something while Claire was talking about a product, and Ben seemed to tell her: “Wait, wait! Did you hear that? Listen to Claire Richards. Stop talking.”

But not everyone is upset. Some people are really liking Ben and Cat on This Morning. One tweet from earlier in the week said: “Caught a little bit of [them] hosting #thismorning and what a breath of fresh air they are.” One viewer shared: “I’m liking. Ben and Cat more relaxed look. Jeans etc. Great. They seem good together. I wasn’t sure but proved wrong.”

Another chimed in with: “I am definitely a fan of Ben and Cat, great vibe and guests seem more at ease.” One fan expressed their support saying: “Big fan of Cat and Ben! ! They’re coming across really down to earth and friendly.”

Meanwhile, another viewer changed their mind, tweeting on Wednesday: “Wasn’t sure Cat was a good fit after her guest stint last year but she’s relaxed into #ThisMorning very quickly.”

You can watch This Morning every weekday on ITV and ITVX starting at 10am. If you’ve missed any shows, you can always watch them on the streaming service.
