Love Island star ‘banned from Big Brother’ despite making huge offer to bosses

Love Island star Belle Hassan revealed she is “banned” from appearing on Big Brother, but would happily take part in the Celebrity version for free.

The reality star, 25, shot to fame when she starred on the fifth series of the hit dating show in 2019, coupling up with Anton Danyluk. However, the bombshell admitted Big Brother has always been her dream.

She told The Sun: “Big brother has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. I actually applied for this series. I didn’t initially want to do the celebrity one but Celebrity Big Brother would be a dream.

The makeup artist added: “I would literally die to do that. I would do that for free.” Belle claimed she wasn’t able to appear on the latest series because they “didn’t want influencers” taking part.

A TV source denied claims that this is a strict rule, saying: “There’s no hard and fast rule – Henry from the previous series was a content creator – but there are a lot of people in the mix and thousands of people audition.” Belle also touched upon former flame Anton, who is set to appear on Love Island: All Stars.

Despite splitting just weeks after leaving the villa in 2019, the influencer confirmed they are still on good terms. She said: “Me and Anton are still on very friendly terms, so I saw him last year in Marbella, he had a girlfriend at the time.

“His girlfriend was an absolutely lovely girl – really, really lovely girl. We don’t speak every day. We don’t have phone calls, but if I see him out like I did in Marbella, I always say hello.”

Belle revealed she pulled out of the All Stars series at the last minute after she met ‘The One’. She was all set to return to the ITV villa in South Africa – but her life was turned upside down when she was introduced to Scottish rugby star Luke Crosbie.

Speaking to The S un she revealed: “I was approached to do the show and then I met someone, and I was like, ‘Oh, no, this is not good, is it?’ I finally found the one and I’ve got that lined up.

“And then I thought, it’s just not really right for me at the time where I’m at in my life. I mean, if you have a 6ft five rugby player, you probably wouldn’t want to do the show either.” Belle admitted that she went through all the background and psychiatric tests and even filmed her opening interview before she pulled out of the show.
