Love Island star Luis Morrison has hit out at his past “toxic” relationships and says he’s “changed” since he appeared on the first series in 2015.
The hunk first appeared on the ITV2 dating show nine years ago alongside the likes of Hannah Elizabeth, who will join Luis in the All stars villa in South Africa when the show kicks off on Monday (January 15).
He left the villa coupled up with ex Cally-Jane Beech the first time and they went on to have a daughter together named Vienna, who they welcomed in 2017. Luis then had another child, a boy named Romeo, with his ex-girlfriend, influencer Chloe Elizabeth, and the pair split up just months later.

Ahead of his return to the show, Luis told The Sun: “I’ve been seeing people but I’ve not had a relationship for a long time – I’d say probably about two and a half years ago. I’ve been seeing people but nothing too serious at all. It’s been quite toxic some of the relationships and distance as well, it wasn’t great.
“We had good times and bad times but I weighed the negatives and positives and there were more negatives. I genuinely am looking for someone, I found it before in the villa and who says I can’t find it again in the villa.
“I’d say I was a little boy back then, I didn’t really have any care in the world, so I feel like I just wanted to have fun all the time and get with loads of girls. I feel like I’ve changed a lot since then, I’ve had a few serious relationships and obviously I’ve had the kids – it’s changed me a lot and I’m thankful for it. I’m thankful for every experience I’ve had in the past and it’s time to look forward now.”

Luis won’t get who gets to couple up with upon his arrival in the villa as the public are in control in a shock twist. Normally, the Islanders’ fate is in their own hands as they choose who to couple up with on day one. But this time Love Island: All Stars is giving viewers the power to pick which Islanders will couple up in the first episode.
All Stars has promised not to be your typical Love Island, with iconic feature Casa Amor already scrapped from the new series. The notorious second villa has been a fan-favourite part of the show for years. It sees Islanders split from their couples and tempted by new singletons, often causing nail-biting drama when the cast are reunited.

Earlier in the week, Daily Star and The Sun revealed that bosses decided to cut it from the legends version of the dating show. This is because producers want to keep past contestants in the dark about what’s in store for them. Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer said: “We have got to be reactive. These islanders have done it all before so we have to be one step ahead of them. This give us the chance to shake it up and bring in new islanders in new ways.”
Mike explained that Casa Amor wouldn’t effectively work for this year’s series as it’s only running for five weeks. He said: “That is good for an eight week run but you don’t need it for this. This is going to be more intense and people will fall for each other quicker.” But fans shouldn’t worry as a new secret spot has been added into the villa. Mike teased: We have four hidden single beds in the lounge, so make of that what you will.”
Love Island: All Stars kicks off Monday, January 15 on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
