‘Awesome’ Robbie Williams dubbed ‘ultimate entertainer’ by music icon

Australian star Delta Goodrem has gushed that her pal Robbie Williams is the “ultimate entertainer” and she praises his upcoming album Britpop

Delta Goodrem is itching for the New Year so she can hear pal Robbie Williams’ new album.

The Australian singer, whose special Christmas With Delta has returned to Amazon Prime, reckons Rob’s LP Britpop is a “brilliant” concept and she will be first in line to buy it come February.

Delta told the Daily Star: “Britpop I mean that is so cool, count me in for going and getting the whole work of art that he’s produced, I’ll put that on my playlist, I am ready for it let’s go, let’s go get Britpop.

“He’s an example of someone that is… he’s still in his heyday, I mean he’s had movies, he’s done so much and I have so much respect and love, and I just think he is the ultimate entertainer.”

They’ve teamed up a few times over the years – most recently in Melbourne during a sporting event.

“When we got to sing at the AFL Grand Final, it was just amazing, he’s done my Christmas show twice, and when we performed live together it was such an epic moment to share”, she gushed, “he makes everyone in the room feel special, he is just really awesome.”

The 41-year-old added: “I have been incredibly lucky that over time I have worked with incredible artists like that and to be on stage with them and I don’t take that for granted.

This year Delta’s festive show saw her perform with artists such as Cody Simpson, Jon Bon Jovi, Tinie Tempah, Lulu and many more.

She said: “Christmas has this beautiful way of bringing people closer. It’s a moment to reflect, to lift each other up and to celebrate the joy in the everyday through singing along to your favourite Christmas song.”

Aside from streaming Robbie Williams, Delta teased she’ll be releasing music of her own in 2026, “the new music has been keeping me busy” she said.
