Celebrity Big Brother aired an awkward moment between Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa.
Love Island star Chris, 32, has forged an unlikely friendship with the 21-year-old Karma singer in the Celebrity Big Brother house. It started when Chris stood up for JoJo after Mickey Rourke made homophobic comments about her.
However, fans have started wondering if there’s something romantic going on between the two. Recent scenes showed Chris massaging JoJo’s back in bed and JoJo scribbling a secret message on his hand.
The pair event got in trouble for exchanging messages behind the backs of their fellow housemates. Ella wasn’t exactly thrilled about it, and neither was Daley Thompsion.
On Wednesday night (April 16), Chris was tasked with picking which housemate to share a slap-up Chinese takeaway with. He was the tasty meal on launch night and was finally able to cash in.
He struggled to pick who to enjoy the meal with, and eventually chose Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd to eat with him. It wasn’t an easy choice for the hunk though, as he’s grown so close to JoJo over the last few days.
He decided to take the hitmaker for a walk in the garden and explain why he decided to pick Jack over her Chris compared the tricky decision to choosing who to take to a football game, a friend or a girlfriend.
“That was like having a spare ticket to a football match,” Chris said to JoJo. “And then going, your girlfriend going ‘oh I wanna come’ but knowing deep down if you take your girlfriend, your mates are going to batter you.”
JoJo laughed at the comparison but corrected him: “I’m not your girlfriend.” Chris replied: “But that’s what it’s about. So me trying to choose [between you and Jack]. Do you know what I’m trying to say?
“I can’t be taking you to the football, when I should be taking one of the boys, right? So that’s what it was like. Deep down, I left my heart aside and I went with my head. Jack’s had a tough day, he needs a good feed.”
JoJo forgave him, telling Chris: “You know it means a lot that you care enough to come to help me. No hard feelings, but I’m going to remember it.”
Fans online couldn’t help but share their views on the situation, with one taking to X and writing: “I’m not your girlfriend though’ yeah tell him that Jojo”.
Another penned: “I’m not your girlfriend”[two crying emojis] ohh s***,” and a third added: “I’m not your girlfriend’. Oof”.
Even Big Brother took a dig at Chris in the Diary Room as he was taking so long to decide, telling him: “Chris, you’re not negotiating the Treaty of Versailles.”
