David and Victoria Beckham’s ‘ultimate snub’ with son Brooklyn as it shows ‘how deep rift is’

In the latest sign of a deepening family feud, David and Victoria Beckham and their son Brooklyn no longer follow each other on Instagram, following similar moves by sons Romeo and Cruz

The Beckham family drama continues to pull A-listers apart as David and Victoria Beckham and their son Brooklyn no longer appear to follow each other on Instagram. This comes as the latest sign of a deepening family rift, as the couple is set to spend Christmas apart from their eldest son and his wife, Nicola Peltz.

The public snub comes after Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo and Cruz also unfollowed him, fuelling rumours of a Beckham family feud just in time for the festive season.

The Beckham clan’s alleged dispute has been simmering since May, when Brooklyn and his spouse gave David’s landmark 50th birthday celebration a miss. However, the origins are believed to trace back to the lead-up to Victoria and David’s eldest son’s extravagant three-day wedding in Palm Beach, back in April 2022.

Earlier this month, Cruz Beckham posted his first photo featuring Brooklyn since the Beckham family feud erupted, sparking hopes that the devastating rift might finally be healing. Sadly, the new social media development points to a different outcome.

The mutual unfollowing Instagram is the clearest indication yet that the football legend and his fashion designer wife are not currently on speaking terms with Brooklyn or his wife, The Sun reported.

Tensions have been brewing for months, with Brooklyn’s younger brothers Romeo and Cruz unfollowing both him and Nicola on social media back in July. A source told The Sun: “This is the ultimate snub in 2025 and it shows just how deep their rift is.”

The source also suggested the unfollowing could have happened automatically if Brooklyn had unfollowed his parents first. Nicola, 30, has dropped hints that she and Brooklyn, 26, will be spending Christmas with her side of the family this year, giving the Beckhams’ festive plans a miss.

On Friday (December 19), the actress posted a photo of Brooklyn and her brother Bradley Peltz at her family’s lavish £76million Palm Beach mansion. The family’s strained relationship has been on public display throughout the year.

Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from David’s highly anticipated knighthood ceremony and his 50th birthday bash. In turn, David and Victoria, 51, missed out on Brooklyn and Nicola’s vow renewal in New York this August.

The last time the family was pictured together was Boxing Day last year, when Victoria shared a photo on Instagram of David with their three sons, daughter Harper, now 14, and Nicola. At the time, she wrote: “Being together for the holidays makes me so happy.”

The Sun also recently reported that Victoria has “given up” on Brooklyn reaching out to her this Christmas, but she still hopes he’ll remember her parents, Jackie and Tony. “They had such a special bond.

“Victoria hopes Brooklyn at least calls them over Christmas,” a source added.
