Emmerdale fans were ‘all for’ a brutal showdown between Caleb and Joe Tate after the former realised that his nephew was responsible for his stabbing and kidney theft
Emmerdale fans are thrilled, saying they’re “all for this” as Caleb confronts Joe Tate, showing he means business after uncovering the truth about his dark kidney heist.
It’s been a long and suspenseful few weeks as viewers have waited for Caleb to finally piece together the clues and realize that Joe was behind his stabbing and subsequent kidney transplant.
In Thursday’s (17th April) hour-long episode, Caleb visited the hospital where he was operated on to speak with Dr Crowley, only to be told that no one by that name works there.
He then ran into Dawn, who revealed that Joe had suffered an injury in the shower, and after pointing out the location of the injury, Caleb’s suspicions about his nephew grew.
Later, Caleb visited Joe at Home Farm to discuss Shaun – the man Joe hired to stab him – fleeing to Thailand, reports the Manchester Evening News.
When Joe stepped away to take a call, Caleb discovered Joe’s medication and, after a quick internet search, uncovered the truth about Joe’s kidney transplant.
Under the guise of a hug to thank Joe for his help, Caleb instead jabbed him harshly in the spot where his kidney wound is located. Caleb’s anger escalated as he demanded answers, proving that Joe could no longer lie since he knew about the immunosuppressants.
As the two fought, with Caleb kicking Joe to the ground and revealing his scar, Joe finally confessed to everything, including his role in Noah being spiked, which led to the deaths of three villagers. However, the tables were turned when Joe started questioning Caleb, trying to determine if Anthony Fox was indeed deceased and hadn’t simply fled from the village.
Upon Kim’s arrival at Home Farm, Caleb urged her to get rid of Joe, referring to him as “the devil” before making a swift exit.
Viewers shared their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), with one writing: “Wow Caleb and Joe scene I’m all for this ! !” with another adding: “Caleb figured that out faster than I thought he would, fair play”.
A third expressed their enthusiasm, saying: “I am wholeheartedly supporting Caleb in this!” while another quipped: “Caleb ate that cuz I can’t even defend my Joseph”.
