Megan Fox’s ex-husband Brian Austin Green has revealed he is recovering after “major surgery”.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 actor – who was married to Megan for 10 years – had to rush in to have surgery after suffering a perforated appendix. Opening up on Instagram, he said it was his first big op but that he was now “on the road to recovery”.

Brian, 51, posted a video on the platform to tell his fans what had happened. “Hey everybody,” said the star, who is known for playing 90210’s David Silver. “I know I haven’t been here for a while. So last week, I started feeling some pain in my stomach. I ended up going to the emergency room and I had a perforated appendix. Not quite burst, but just before it.”

“I’m on the road to recovery,” Brian told his followers. “It’s not an easy process. This is my first surgery – first major surgery, I’ve had small ones.”

He also said the staff at the hospital deserved “a shout out”. “Thank you so much for everything that you did in taking care of me,” he said.

Brian and Megan were married for almost a decade. They met on the set of TV series Hope & Faith and started dating in 2004, then tied the knot in Hawaii six years later in 2010.

The pair went on to have three children together – Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, eight. However, their relationship hit some bumps in the road and in 2015 it was reported that they had split.

They later rekindled their romance but in 2020 it was announced that they had called things off and had gone their separate ways. Megan and Brian’s divorce was finalised in 2021.
