Monika Lara Smith – who was on the series Dating Naked – has claimed that she was banned from TK Maxx after she was spotted making a video that showed her smelling pants
Dating Naked star Monika Lara Smith has claimed she got banned from TK Maxx for “sniffing boxers”.
The reality TV star is known for creating content – which she says is “not explicit” – in public. But she apparently ran into trouble when she decided to do a spot of filming in the store in Leeds. Telling the story on social media, Monika told fans that she ended up getting “permanently banned from TK Maxx in the UK”.
Laughing, she said she had felt like “a naughty child” when she was approached by security guards. The star, who was on Rylan’s racy series earlier this year, told her followers: “As per usual me and my brother, we went to TK Maxx – we go there sometimes every week and that kind of should have made me think twice before going there again, to maybe have a little break.
“We would joke… that these people probably know us. Leeds is not such a huge city, people know people. So we kept joking that people probably know us by now. And that was a very true statement.
“As I walked into TK Maxx yesterday the security guy was looking, but not really staring, at me. But kind of looking as if he knew me.”
Monika said it gave her “a feeling” but that she went on and met her brother and went to film some content. “As you know my content might be a little bit risqué but it’s not explicit,” she said.
“It is not classified as indecent exposure. I am not flashing… you need to flash in order for it to be categorised as indecent exposure.”
“As I was crouching there sniffing boxers, because that was the video I was making, the security guy, two of them, came downstairs,” she said.
She explained that the guards told her she was not allowed to film there anymore and was no longer allowed in the store, and asked her to leave. “They sounded quite serious and very firm,” she shared.
“I could not keep my face straight,” Monika went on. “Luckily the security guys were walking in front of us so I had time to fix my face because I just felt like a naughty child, like a naughty teenager that gets told off!”
The star said she was then taken to an office to be given “official papers”. She said the staff were “nice and polite” but explained to her that there had been some complaints so they were “just doing their job”. But they told her the ban was a permanent one, and that it was across the UK.
“I love this store,” said the TV star, adding that it was “very sad”. “TK Maxx if you are watching please can you unban me… I promise I will be a good girl,” she pleaded.
However, Monika also assured her fans that it was “a funny” story and that she was “not disheartened”. “The guys were really kind,” she said.
