Zara McDermott was seen for the first time since she was pictured sharing a kiss with Louis Tomlinson in Los Angeles as she arrived back in the UK after spending time in Malibu
Zara McDermott was spotted returning to the UK, seemingly unable to hide her joy after spending time in Malibu with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson.
The 28-year-old, who split from I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson last December, appeared to be in high spirits. The reason for her happiness might not be hard to guess, as she has been getting closer to the world-famous singer in recent weeks.
Upon landing in the UK, the former Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media to express her delight at finally getting her favourite Gail’s coffee. However, judging by the photos, it seems Zara indulged in more than just a coffee at her preferred bakery.
Sporting a casual white T-shirt and matching tracksuit top under a denim jacket, Zara looked effortlessly stylish, reports the Mirror. With her hair styled in a messy bun, Zara flaunted her long slender legs in black leggings and finished off her look with white trainers.
Her return to the UK follows images of Zara sharing an intimate kiss with Louis outside his luxurious Malibu home.
Before their kiss, Louis was seen affectionately pulling Zara close before leaning in for a smooch. In another snapshot, the couple were caught holding hands, trying their best to evade the paparazzi.
Zara and Sam, who had been an item since 2019, decided to part ways in December last year. The couple, who shared a London home and two cats during their five-year relationship, experienced their fair share of highs and lows.
However, fans began to suspect trouble when the pair spent Christmas and New Year apart. In January, Sam attempted to hide his heartbreak by posting an uplifting video on social media.
On Instagram, Sam said: “Good morning for us all incoming.” He continued with a positive message, stating: “But I feel you’re going to have a really good day. You’re going to have a really good week – and I’m never wrong.”
He added: “Lets have it! And there is a new episode of Stayin’ Relevant out, so check that out. Pete’s in a good mood for this one.” Despite his upbeat attitude, insiders revealed that Sam was left “blindsided” and devastated by how quickly Zara moved on.
A source told The Sun last month: “Sam is obviously devastated by the news, he was with Zara for years and the break-up has hit him hard. He’s taking some time out to focus on himself – it’s completely blindsided and embarrassed him.”
They spilled the beans: “He didn’t expect Zara to move on so quickly and he’s still dealing with the aftermath of the split. He’s not found the split easy and has been trying to keep busy and take his mind off it by focusing on work, friends and family. But everyone can see that he’s struggling and just needs to take some time out to reassess things.”
Lucky for Sam, he’s got a solid squad of mates and kin around him, including his ‘Staying Relevant’ podcast mate Pete Wicks. The insider dished out that Sam is dead set on getting over his past romance and chucking all his energy into new work ventures.
