Bugzy Malone 'lucky to be alive' as he breaks silence on horror crash injuries

Bugzy Malone has broken his silence after he was involved in a horrific motorbike crash on Wednesday adding he is “lucky to be alive”.

Taking to social media, the rapper added that he sustained serious injuries from the ordeal which left him unconscious after smashing into a moving car.

Bugzy, real name Aaron Davis, 29, was filmed by a group of youths while at a set of traffic lights in Bury, Manchester wearing a florescent coat before being approached by the lads.

A Snapchat video that was posted on social media showed the grime star speeding off and jolting out onto an empty roundabout in a bid to get away from the group.

Taking to his Instagram page, Malone suggested that he is on the road to recovery following the incident.

However, he admitted that the current lockdown situation caused by Covid-19 in the UK isn’t “easy” and that boredom “causes the craziest problems” as he ignored Boris Johnson’s advice to remain at home in a bid to tackle the deadly virus.

Addressing his 1.2 million Instagram followers, the Memory Lane hitmaker said: “They tell me I’m lucky to be alive but although I sustained serious injuries at the time I lost consciousness so I don’t remember much,

“What I do remember is the none stop love, and just want to say thanks for all the well wishes and prayers you lot caught me off guard with all the support!

“Lockdown ain’t easy because boredom causes the craziest problems, but be safe regardless…”

The rapper also shared snaps of his injuries that were sustained following his crash.

One snap sees Malone sat on his motorcycle wearing a florescent orange jacket teamed with a gas mask.

He went on to share a snap of himself lying in a pool of his own blood as well as a video of paramedics arriving at the scene.

One video also showed off the injuries on his face while he was hooked up to an intravenous drip in hospital.

At the time of the incident, a spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called to Rochdale Road at 21:19 yesterday [Wednesday] to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.

“We attended with an ambulance, advanced paramedic and rapid response vehicle. A male patient was taken to hospital with serious injuries.”
