Love Island stars are reportedly fearful of police probes over “essential work trips” to Dubai during lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
It comes after a ton of Instagram stars, reality TV stars and influencers flew over to the country as stricter lockdown rules came into place in the UK.
In some cases, it seems they have flouted Tier 4 restrictions to do so with many stars claiming they are there “working”.
A source has now come forward who claims that stars have been receiving private messages from their followers who claim to have reported the celebs to the police.
Celebs are now allegedly scared to return home, according to The Mirror.
A source told the publication that there is a “groundswell of fear” among the stars as they “fear” they will be forced to prove it was for “work”.
The source added: “A number of people have claimed they’ve contacted the cops in messages to their account, which has spooked quite a lot of them.
“Some of their agents have been busily deleting them but it’s left everyone freaking out, even if they can argue they are there for work, or whatever work is for them.”
Stars have also been bombarded with cruel deaths threats from trolls over their luxurious breaks.
For months, it has been advised by the Government to avoid international travel unless necessary.
Following Tier 4 restrictions, which came into place towards the end of December, the Government banned people from leaving their local area unless for good reason.
It comes just days after disgraced Love Island star Zara Holland returned from a holiday in Barbados where she escaped the UK’s pandemic laws.
Zara reportedly flew from Barbados back to the UK after receiving a fine for “contravening the emergency Covid-19 curfew directive”.
On January 6, she was summoned to the island’s District A magistrates’ court after attempting to flee the country when her boyfriend tested positive for coronavirus.
Holland faced up to one year’s jail time, as well as a fine of £18,000, but was ultimately awarded a fine of just £4,417.
In a statement shared with Mail Online, Zara’s lawyer confirmed the reality star had travelled back to the UK.
Andrew Pilgrim QC, told the publication: “Zara left Barbados last night.
“The fine has been paid and she was free to go.”
