Ronan Keating reportedly “dropped everything” after he learned that his brother had tragically died in a car crash.

Ciaran Keating was the elder brother of Boyzone star and was in his 50s when he was involved in the fatal road accident in Ireland.

But upon learning the devastating news, Ronan, 46, has reportedly dropped everything to rush back to his home country to be with his family.

It seems that the Magic Radio breakfast host left his wife, Australian TV producer Storm Keating and their two children back in their home in Hertfordshire and has dropped all commitments for the time being.

A source told The Sun: “It’s the phone call no one wants to take about their loved ones. Ronan dropped everything as soon as he heard the devastating news.

“He is trying to stay strong for the sake of the family and is doing everything he can to support his sister-in-law and his nephews.”

The insider added: “Ronan is just absolutely devastated. He lives for his family. This is a cruel bolt from the blue.”

This comes as Ronan Keating’s brother Ciaran Keating has been named as the victim of a fatal road crash.

He has been named as the victim of a fatal road crash on the N5 near Swinford, Co. Mayo, on Saturday afternoon (July 15).

It has been reported that Ciaran was travelling with his wife, Ann Marie, to watch their son, Ruairi, play for Cork City FC.

The match was set in the evening for a Premier Division League of Ireland clash with Sligo Rovers.

Ronan’s brother suffered fatal injuries in the two-car collision which took place in the townland of Ballymiles, Ireland.

Ciaran was reportedly travelling with his wife to watch their son play for Cork City FC.

The football team his son plays for took to social media to show support for the Keating family.

They tweeted: “All at Cork City FC are deeply saddened at the passing of Ciaran Keating, father of our player Ruairí Keating.

“We extend our deepest sympathies to Ruairí and the entire Keating family at this exceptionally difficult time. May he rest in peace. We ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed in due course.”
