Love Island Casa Amor star ‘turned down All Stars’ and shares message from ITV bosses

Love Island beauty Shannen Reilly McGrath has said she was asked to be on the All Stars series of the TV show but said no because she’s got a boyfriend.

The blonde – who was on the third series of the ITV programme seven years ago – is now loved up with her beau Luke Talbot but admitted she was a bit tempted when Love Island staff got in touch about another stint in the villa. Suggesting people sometimes do go on the show to boost their careers even if they are in relationships, she admitted that initially she was going to do it.

However, she ended up deciding that the Love Island “ship had sailed” for her. Opening up on Instagram, Shannen shared that she felt she wouldn’t have been able to do it given that she’s not single and is in a real couple.

The TV star – who entered series three at the Casa Amor stage – also shared a snap of an alleged message from someone on Love Island, apparently reaching out to her about All Stars. “I was actually asked to do it and did a Zoom call and stuff,” she told her 109,000 followers on the platform.

“And I’m going to be very honest for career wise I was going to go on and stay in my relationship on the outside world, as you know that happens a lot on Love Island,” she went on, adding a crying with laughter and an eyeball emoji.

“And myself and Luke spoke about it a lot but it wasn’t for me in the end. I decided that ship had sailed regarding Love Island and I’m too content now to do that!”

Shannen added: “I also find it weird about the relationship thing. I wouldn’t have been able to do it! Was nice to be asked though.”

The TV star and model, who is from Ireland, entered the show on day 26 back in 2017. However, she didn’t last long and was dumped on day 28 after failing to couple up with anyone.

Shannen has been with Luke since around 2019 and previously told Sunday World that they had known each other for a long time before that. “I try and keep him private, he’s a childhood friend,” she said. “He’s a hard worker, normal lad.”
