Strictly’s Amber Davies supported by fans as she breaks silence after loss

Former Love Island winner Amber Davies has shared an emotional message after missing out on the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 glitterball trophy.

Strictly Come Dancing finalist Amber Davies has spoken out after narrowly missing the coveted glitterball trophy.

The Love Island winner and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin were pitted against George Clarke and Alexis Warr, as well as Karen Carney and Carlos Gu, in an emotional showdown.

Footballer Karen clinched the 2025 series title, making history and giving Carlos his first taste of victory on the show.

Amber, 29, was a last-minute addition to the line-up, stepping in for Dani Dyer who had to bow out due to injury.

Throughout her stint on the show, Amber found herself batting criticism over her West End background and dealing with online trolls.

Speaking after the final, she gushed about her time on Strictly, saying: “It’s just been the best experience of my life, and dancing with [Nikita] has been the greatest honour.

“I’ve learned so much in four months, and I wasn’t even supposed to be here.”

Amber has now taken to Instagram to share her feelings. She posted: “Hands down best night of my life! ! ! So so unbelievably happy for you two wonderful humans @kazcarney @gkx_carlos,” reports Wales Online.

“Thank you so so much to guys for all love and support over the last 4 months, I’ll never ever forget it, this has been a complete dream.

“Thank you Judges for believing in me and for all your support, it’s meant the world to me @craigrevel @motsimabuse @shirleyballas @mrantondubeke.”

In a heartfelt tribute to hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly on their final show, she shared: “@tessdaly @claudiawinkle congratulations on the most incredible run, I’m so glad I got to be a tiny little part of your Strictly memory.

“and now time for a lil rest before @legallyblondeshow begins.”

Her fans were quick to rally round, with one gushing: “Forever a winner! Well done girl, you were sensational.”

Another chimed in: “You were sensational as always! ! ! A superstar! Thank you for the moments we will remember forever.”

A third echoed the sentiment: “What a star! You shone from start to finish.”

This follows Amber’s emotional reflection on her Strictly journey during an appearance on It Takes Two last week.

“It makes me want to cry,” she confessed to host Fleur East. “I can’t believe I’m here, just the way that we started.”

Fighting back tears, she added: “I just don’t want it to be over.”

She continued: “This is the last few days, and I’m so grateful. My alarm went off this morning… I’m such a crier at the minute. I jumped out of bed because I was thinking, ‘Today’s the last Tuesday,’ so I just want to cherish every single moment that I have left with you.”

Overcome with emotion, she laughed through tears: “Why am I acting like I’m never going to see you again? I’m really bad at saying goodbye.

“The Strictly bubble is bursting. It came into my life with a vengeance and now it feels like it’s leaving just as quickly.

“I’ve loved every single second of it, I’m going to miss it so much.”
