Strictly Come Dancing fans were left wondering what BBC dancer Jowita Przystal meant by the post, and whether it was a hint that she was leaving the show after this series
Strictly fans are worried a BBC pro might be leaving the show. They fear that Strictly pro Jowitz Przystal has hinted she’s walking away from the ballroom in a post shared on her Instagram. Jowita was paired up with TV presenter Ross King on this series – and they were the second couple to be eliminated from the competition.
But she’s got people guessing about her future on the show after posting the emotional snap with Ross, which showed them both smiling on the dancefloor in the Strictly ballroom. She captioned the pic: “Last dance partner on Strictly floor x.”
The wording of the post made it sound Ross would be her final celebrity dancer partner on the show. And fans were quick to pick up on the cryptic caption.
One fan on Reddit wrote: “Jowita just shared this! Is this her last year?”. Another fan asked: “I wondered also. I hope not she is my fav female pro.”
However, others think that Jowita may not have intended to suggest she was leaving and that her phrasing may have been off as English is not her first language. This year’s Strictly cast had been sharing photos from their time on the series and Jowita may simply have been reminiscing about it as well.
They wrote: “I think its just a language barrier thing, it would be a weird way to announce something like that lol.”
Another agreed: “I think it could just be the way she phrased it and that she means “last dance with ross”? (at least that’s what i’m hoping).”
Jowita joined the cast of Strictly dancers in 2021. She managed to win the show in her first year with presenter Hamza Yassin.
Last year, she was partnered with Pete Wicks and the pair sparked romance rumours. They eventually confirmed their romance when they kissed on stage at Pete’s podcast show with Sam Thompson.
The Strictly final on Saturday (December 20) saw former Lioness Karen Carney crowned winner. She told fans she was “lost for words” and that: “I can’t believe it, it’s been the biggest privilege and honour”.
The emotional night saw hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman bid farewell to viewers as they’re leaving the show after this series. Queen Camilla even paid tribute to the hosts in a message read out by judge Craig Revel Horwood, which read: “I think I speak for everyone when I say you have been utterly fab-u-lous.”
