Baftas fans concerned as The Irishman's Al Pacino takes dramatic fall on red carpet

Al Pacino caused a ruckus on the red carpet of tonight’s Baftas, as he took a tumble before the star-studded crowd.

While walking the red carpet, the 79-year-old tripped up, prompting his team to rush to his aid.

Helped back to the ground, the actor looked visibly shaken but managed to regain his composure quickly.

Once Baftas viewers heard about the fall, they were instantly concerned for Al and sent him their good wishes.

One said: “I hope he is not injured.”

A second added: “IS AL PACINO OKAY?????? PLEASE BE CAREFUL SIR.”

While a third remarked: “Me on my way to check Al Pacino’s alright at the Baftas.”

And a fourth chipped in: “My favourite actor I hope he’s ok. Sending blessings to you.”

The veteran actor is up for a whole host of awards this season, thanks to his stellar performance in The Irishman.

Appearing alongside Robert De Niro, the film was a huge success when it first aired on Netflix earlier this year.

Speaking about his lifelong friendship with Robert, he told The Guardian: “Early on in our careers, we connected from time to time and we found we had similar things happening to us.”

Before adding: “Our lives took on a whole different kind of thing.”

At tonight’s Baftas, hosted at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Al was nominated as Best Supporting Actor along with co-star Joe Pesci.

On top of that, the flick was a contender for the Best Film category, as well as Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and more.
