Bosses at the BBC have sparked outrage after commissioning six more years of Mrs Brown’s Boys.
A new deal will see the sitcom air every Christmas until 2026.
Execs reckon the show will bring festive cheer to fans, but scores of viewers think the move is no joke and are even threatening to stop paying the licence fee.
One said: “The BBC have scheduled more series of the appalling Mrs Brown’s Boys! This is a MUST: #DefundTheBBC.”
Another moaned: “All we get is more bl**dy Mrs Brown’s Boys.”

And one said: “This year the BBC are giving us Michael McIntyre and Mrs Brown’s Boys. FFS.”
One even joked the show staying on air had ruined their year and said: “Good news: covid vaccine. Bad news: Mrs Brown’s Boys survives.”
Brendan O’Carroll, who stars as Mrs Brown and pens the series, is thrilled the show will stay on the BBC.
The funnyman has even compared the show to comedy classics including Morecambe and Wise.
BBC viewers weren’t impressed

He said: “It’s incredible that the BBC have nailed down such a special slot for Mrs Brown.
“We’ve been doing it in for nine years already, which is six more than The Royle Family had and more than Morecambe and Wise.

Earlier this year a show insider said many of the cast feared the show’s days were numbered.
It was rocked by two shock exits amid rumours of rows over money.
