Gemma Atkinson has been told by her mother not to get pregnant with another child as her Strictly Come Dancing beau Gorka Marquez returns home this weekend.
The 36-year-old actress, who became a mum for the first time in July last year to Mia, now one, with her boyfriend Gorka, explained that her mum didn’t want to welcome any more grandchildren just yet.
Back in 2017, Gemma and Gorka met while competing on Strictly, although they were not paired together on the show the pair became close on the tour and later announced they were an item.
This year, Gorka was partnered with EastEnders star Maisie Smith with the pair dancing their way to the final this coming weekend.

The conversation about conceiving took place on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch as Gemma was quizzed about finally being reunited with her man after almost three months apart.
Whether he lifts the glitterball trophy or not, Gorka will receive the ultimate prize of being reunited with his family after being separated for 87 days.
Stars of the show this year have had to bubble up with their partners and have been unable to see family members in keeping with Covid-19 guidelines.

Although Gemma was looking forward to seeing Gorka this coming Sunday, she said that her mum had issued words of warning for their reunion.
The former Channel 4 soap star quipped: “My mum’s already said to me, ‘Mia’s too young yet, no more siblings, wait until she’s older…’ she’s given me the warning.”
During her visit on the show, the mum-of-one was asked for her thoughts on who she suspected would be crowned the winner of this year’s competition.
Gemma said: “This is the first year where I can’t pinpoint it… It’s so close, they’ve all been so good.
“Jamie’s got so much enthusiasm, Bill’s been on his journey, Maisie and HRVY have been really consistent and got better and better each week.”
Even though her ballroom dancing hunk faces stiff competition, it was inevitable that she would be standing by Gorka and Maisie, hoping for them to take home the winners trophy.
She explained: “It’s anyone’s game, anyone can win it.
“Obviously, I’m rooting for Gorka and Maisie and all my votes will be going for them.”
