Sex Pistol’s Johnny Rotten appeared on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain, discussing his views as a pro-Trump voter as the US election results rolled in.
Raising his voice as he spoke with presenters Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan, the 64-year-old, whose real name is John Lyndon, insisted Trump was “the only hope” for America.
The rockstar, who lives full-time in the US, said he felt Trump represented blue-collar workers in the country, adding: “He can be many different things, this fella.”
Justifying his support of the President, Johnny said: “Trump, he’s not a politician. He’s never claimed to be.
“How unusually exceptionally wonderful is that for people like me.

“Working-class people, we’re bored with your intellectual left wing ideas. We can’t take much more of you.”
Apparently growing angry, he added: “You talk twaddle, everything you do, you just miss the point.”
Susanna tried her best to interject, but Johnny shouted over her, saying: “Let me finish!”
Trying to laugh it off, Susanna added: “I was just going to say, what about his rudeness?”
Johnny snapped: “He’s the only hope. You can call him a narcissist, you can call him nasty. He’s the only hope because the system as usual is an S-H system.”
Meanwhile, over on Twitter, GMB viewers were left perplexed by the interview, with one suggesting it was “too early” to listen to such loud volumes blasting from their TV screens.
One said: “@piersmorgan can’t believe no one can get a word in edge way with the Johnny Rotten interview! It was hilarious #gmb.”
“Johnny Rotton on @GMB . Wow. Just wow. I don’t know why I’m surprised. It’s very early for this,” wrote a second.
And a third penned: “Johnny Rotten clearly has all of this written down and just reading of a script. Why’s he talking like that!!”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
