Katie Hopkins picked up fake 'C**T' award from YouTuber prankster Josh Pieters

Katie Hopkins has been tricked into collecting a fake “C**T” award by YouTube sensation, Josh Pieters – who once fooled thousands of people in Los Angeles into thinking a redhead was Ed Sheeran.

Following her Twitter account being suspended, internet star Josh Pieters took to Twitter to reveal the prank he had pulled on the former The Apprentice candidate.

Josh, 26, shared a picture alongside Katie who once appeared in Celebrity Big Brother as he awarded her, her fake award.

Behind the pair, a projection of the words “Campaign to Unify the Nation Trophy” appeared on a wall, with the capital letters spelling out a word which had been blown up.

Addressing his 290,000 followers, Josh said: “Now that Katie Hopkins can’t read Twitter, I can tell you that on Monday I made her fly to Prague to pick up a completely fake award. Video up shortly.”

The South African native also shared a clip of him presenting Katie with her award, who beamed from ear-to-ear as she collected the trophy.

Throughout the ten minute long video, Josh shared several of Katie’s controversial tweets as well as video clips of the mum-of-three voicing her opinions.

Joe Sugg’s pal revealed that the prank started three months prior when he set up the fake campaign group, The Cape Town Collective For Freedom of Speech.

He goes on to say that he emailed Katie and invited the reality loud-mouth to accept the “Lifetime Achievement Award” – dubbed the Campaign to Unify the Nation Trophy.

Josh added that Katie was “delighted” to accept the award from the YouTuber.

No stranger to pulling off epic pranks, Josh and pal Archie Manners once again hired actors to join them at the awards show which was rigged with hidden cameras.

During the video, Hopkins claps as Josh gives a speech, congratulating her for “melting the ice caps” of “snowflakes” in the UK.

He goes on to talk about the level of hate that Katie receives online before labelling her an “inspiration”.

Josh even tricked thousands of people into believing Ed Sheeran was at the recent KSI vs Logan Paul fight in Los Angeles

When Hopkins gets up to collect her award, the C-word appears on the screen behind her.

Addressing the crowd, Katie claims that it is the “most fun” she has had in a long time.

Going on to say: “I am not used to receiving awards, it is strange, and it’s strange to hear nice things being said about yourself.

“You sit there and you think, ‘Wait a minute, are they saying that about me?’ Whereas normally it is an incoming deluge of fireballs coming my way so it’s kind of an odd thing for that to be tipped on its head, but I really do appreciate it.”

Earlier in the day, Katie’s Twitter account was suspended with only retweeted tweets appearing on her profile.
