Louis Tomlinson slams BBC Breakfast, accusing Dan Walker of 'pushing him to talk grief'

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has taken to his official Twitter account to slam the BBC Breakfast show via a series of tweets, declaring his upset at being asked ‘about something so painful’.

Speaking candidly about his stint on the breakfast show, he took to his digital platform to blast his distress for how he was treated and probed by interviewee Dan Walker, 42.

Addressing his pain he penned: “I was upset that you continued to ask me about my grief.

“It goes without saying how hard it is to lose both people so close to me.”

He continued to spout his unhappiness: “The least I ask is that you respect my decision of not wanting to be asked in interviews about something so painful.”

The interview stemmed around Louis’ emotions following the loss of his mother Johannah, who sadly died after losing a battle with an aggressive form of leukaemia in 2016.

Adding to the Tomlinson’s family grief and suffering, Louis’ younger sister Félicite also tragically died last year, at the age of just 18.

Louis’ younger sibling was reported to have suddenly passed away in her West London flat after suffering a suspected heart attack.

The shocking news was a second tough blow for the family who were already grieving the loss of their mother, just three years prior.

With the heartache of his mother and sister still being raw, Louis indicated that he had requested beforehand that he didn’t want to touch on the subject, claiming that they didn’t respect his decision to remain closed lipped.

Addressing his 33.5 million followers he took to social media platform for a second time, vowing never to return to the breakfast show again after his ordeal.

He wrote: “Defo wont be going on there again Haha! Love to all my fans for always having my back.”

Fans of the global superstar were furious and branded the interview with Dan Walker and Louise Minchin, 51 as ‘disgusting” and “unprofessional.”

Outraged viewers took to Twitter to vocalise their support for the 1D singer.

One fan said: “No one should ever ask you anything they wouldn’t want to talk about themselves, you’re a human-being with emotions and you deserved better.”

Another added: “It is disgusting that you even have to explain yourself, i’m so sorry that they couldn’t be professional for one minute to consider how you would feel being asked such things.”

While a third agreed: “You didn’t deserve that, especially on live TV, being made to feel uncomfortable, it’s unprofessional and disgusting on their behalf.
