Love Island celebrity guest and music legend Sean Paul initially recorded his new single Calling On Me with The Masked Singer babe Rita Ora, though his plans to release the track as a collab were scuppered by industry bigwigs.
Rita recorded a version of the track last year and Sean was pushing for a summer 2019 release.
However, despite them loving the track and Sean pushing for the release the plan was shelved after Rita released a string of singles like clockwork from March to May.
The blow meant that the track was passed onto kooky vocal power house Tove Lo.
Kicking things off in March, Rita dropped Phoenix album track Only Want You, closely followed by Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie song Carry On with Kygo in April, and, finally, dance-floor smash Ritual with Tiësto and Jonas Blue in May.
Bosses no doubt feared a fourth single in as many months could over expose the star – especially as she was also jugging other projects away from the charts.

A source told Daily Star Online: “Rita has been a massive fan of Sean for years.
“She originally recorded his latest song Calling On Me but at the time it was called Call On Me.
“They couldn’t make a release date work as last summer Rita was back to back with hits and they didn’t want to rush things.”
The insider added: “These things happen.

“Some of the biggest tracks of all time have been through countless singers before the final version is released.
“Rita still wants to release a track with Sean, it was never a snub.”
Talking to Daily Star Online about Call On Me in May of last year, musician Sean said: “Me and Rita have known each other for quite some time.

“We have been doing some work.
“We are trying to decide which song is the best to put forward.
“There are two tracks. I like one of the two a lot more. It is a Sean Paul sound.
“It is a meaningful track about family and friends and what they mean to us. I am trying to release it soon.”
