Ricky Gervais calls Boris Johnson 'fat, bumbling, water-logged' in lockdown rant

Ricky Gervais has blasted Boris Johnson as “fat, bumbling and water-logged” in a furious rant at the Tory clowns running Britain.

He said he was fuming a cabal of privately educated toffs control the UK and branded the country’s second lockdown a “f*****g shambles”.

Ricky, in an online chat with fans, vented about Boris and his Tory chums: “Fat, bumbling, water-logged, f*****g… you know I don’t get political, but he’s so out of his depth isn’t he?

“No qualifications for that job. When are we going to stop using, ‘Went to Eton’ as a qualification to run the country?

“When are we going to stop respecting people that are so out of touch?

“Not just posh Brits, but everywhere in the word – celebrities. Just privileged people who think they’ve got a right to tell ordinary people how to live, like their life is more important. F*****g hell, honestly, God, I’m going to stop.”

He went on about the devastating impact of Britain’s new lockdown: “The first one – I just took it because it was the right thing to do.

“But this time it was such a f*****g shambles, oh God.

“Just letting it get out of hand down to the last minute.”

He added he was also devastated crew on his planned comedy tour were out of work along with fellow comics with whom he had been planning on putting on socially distanced shows.

Last month, Ricky revealed plans to take a new show, called Talking B****cks on the road once lockdown eases.

He said the show would consist of him in conversation with two comedian friends on stage in front of socially distanced audiences. There would be a Q&A session too.

Ricky said: “I’m very excited – I’ll get all my chums in, just me and two other people.
