Rio Ferdinand takes to Instagram with cheeky pic after birth of fourth child

Rio Ferdinand became a dad for the fourth time last week as he and wife Kate welcomed their baby son into the world.

New dad Rio and first time mum Kate have not yet spoke about their happy news, nor have they disclosed their baby boy’s name.

The 42-year-old decided to hold his tongue when it came to the new addition and instead took to Instagram to share some football banter.

Breaking his silence since the recent birth, he instead opted to give his 4.5million followers a bit of light-hearted fun as he poked fun at some of his supporters from his previous club Leeds as they took on Manchester United.

He shared a picture of a young lad wearing a white football shirt and holding a banner that read: “Rio who?”

The professional centre back shared the image to make light of his mammoth transfer deal as he left Manchester United for Leeds in 2002, landing himself a record multi-million pound fee.

He captioned it: “The cheek of it. ‘Rio who’ ya know! And I was your captain little man.”

While another said: “Man Utd legend. What Utd fans would do to have a prime Rio in our defence right now.”
